Syfte
The purpose of the study is to gain insight into how employees in Swedish kindergartens perceive their organisational working conditions by analysing kindergarten employees’ utterances in the digital Facebook petition #pressatläge.
Resultat
The utterances were categorised under three topics: 1) precarious working conditions, 2) crises and risk management and 3) children’s vulnerability now and in the future. The authors point out that kindergarten employees’ experiences of their workplace and working conditions can, among other things, have a negative effect on mental health among the employees and result in a reduction in the children’s opportunities regarding learning, development and well-being.
Design
A total of 1600 utterances, published between December 2017 and February 2018, from kindergarten employees in Sweden were thematically analysed. Both inductive and deductive approaches to the analyses were used.
