Syfte

The study identifies, describes and compares reflection tools that can be used by kindergarten employees when implementing, evaluating and developing good education for all children. The research questions are: 1) What type of reflection tools for creating a good education for all children are available to kindergarten coordinators, kindergarten teachers and other staff in Swedish kindergartens? 2) What characterises the reflection tools? 3) What are their differences and similarities in terms of purpose and goals, as well as form and content?

Resultat

The results show that there are several reflection tools that can be used by employees in kindergartens when developing and evaluating good activities for all children. This means that kindergarten employees have more choices and can either choose a single reflection tool or a combination of several. The researchers believe that reflection tools that rest on a scientific foundation and experience can help ensure that reflection does not only take place based on previous professional experience.

Design

The study is a literature review in which the researcher searched for various reflection tools through google and the SCOPUS database. The inclusion criteria were that the tools were published after 1998, were designed to support all children or vice versa (for example, support for children with additional needs) and targeted employees in Swedish kindergartens. The researcher found five different reflection tools that were analysed and compared.
